Scary Stuff, Ladies...
Dear friends, wherever you are, please be careful. My friend Jess sent me this email earlier this morning, just a reminder of the craziness in this world.
My good friend Eve sent me this email last night and I had to share:
Hey y’all,
Just wanted to give you a heads up/warning about an incident that happened to me last Friday night. I was walking home from the bar by myself late night and got attacked and almost abducted by a group of men. One man began following me as I turned on 39th from Calvert St. He came up from behind and threw me on the ground and knocked me unconscious. When I came to within probably a minute, I saw that a car with three men had pulled up and one of them got out and was helping the first man pull me into the car. Thankfully, a bystander came up and began yelling and the men dropped me. Just wanted to pass this scary story along to serve as a warning to NOT WALK HOME FROM THE BAR BY YOURSELF. I used to never think twice about doing so, but have learned my lesson and please, please take heed!
xoxo, Eve
I know this kind of stuff happens all the time but its when it happens to a close friend in an neighborhood you frequent often that it becomes way more real. Who knows if these guys were rapists, murderers, sex traffickers… there are SICK people out there. Enjoy life, but please be careful.

Oh my mom is THE BEST. After years of toting around my faux Louis Vuitton [handles falling off at the seams, leather cracking on handles … results of stuffing 8+ beers at a time into it in college]…She got me the real deal. It was an early birthday present since I’ll be down in Bama Land on my birthday instead of home. So excited and appreciative!
